Bonneville Speedway, a race course 10,000 years in the making. At one time Bonneville Lake covered most of Utah. The Bonneville Salt Flats located 115 miles from Salt Lake City, Utah, near the town of Wendover, became the epicenter of Land Speed Records. Many racers built their machines in their garages with a design that began as a sketch on a napkin. These racers compete against an unforgiving foe, the tick of the clock.
This is a history that must be preserved, until such time as a brick and mortar museum can be built, welcome to Bonneville Virtual Museum. This is your museum, your stories and photos to remember what you created and to provide a guiding light for future generations. Welcome!
